Five Quick Ways To Get Traffic Coming To Your laptop battery Website
First post by: www.batterystores.co.uk
When compared to the building, updating IBM 08K8192 Battery and maintaining of a website the hardest thing that any website owner has to do is get traffic going to their already developed website. Much of the traffic generation process is a long and drawn out plan of constant development, building of backlinks and networking. There are however quick ways that a website or blog can grab it’s share of initial traffic, and here are five of them.
1. Becoming active on forums is a great way to get more traffic to your blog or website. There are a number of benefits that come with being active on niche forums, and one of those is traffic generation. The placement of a link to a website or blog in your signature file will make it possible for someone reading what you post to click on that link and visit your site. Becoming active on forums is also a great way to increase your reputation in the niche you are operating a website in.
2. Adding a link in the signature of your email is another great source of traffic to your website. Everyone sends email these IBM 92P1101 Battery days and whether it is directed to friends, co-workers or business associates, it can bring traffic benefits if these emails have a link to your website in the footer of it. This may sound like a very small traffic idea, and it is. But, it can grow easily to as any of those contacts that visit your site may recommend it to someone else or even place a link to it from their site.
3. Including a tell-a-friend feature on the design of your website is one more passive way to get traffic to your website. When developing a website or blog, installing a tell-a-friend feature is fairly easy and extremely necessary. The internet is not only global, it is social. Everyone has friends in real life and friends that they have made over the internet. When someone comes across your website and it makes them think that they know someone else who would enjoy it, it just makes sense to make the process of recommending it to their friends IBM 92P1089 Battery easier.
4. Providing a free ebook or how-too guide and advertising that you do so is another way to get traffic coming to your website. While the writing of an ebook is not the easiest thing in the world, once it is done it can be a traffic generation machine that you can harness to work for you. Offer it free to visitors of your website, or even better to visitors that want to sign up for your free newsletter. Now, promote the free ebook on forums and in the comment areas of other blogs related to your niche. Everyone loves getting something for free and this goes for ebooks too.
5. Becoming active in a free link exchange program can bring traffic to your website almost immediately. Exchanging links is a way to get immediate traffic because a link or banner ad that leads to your site immediately appears on the website or websites of others. Making use of someone else’s website to bring traffic to your IBM 92P1087 Battery site is an essential and powerful way of increasing your own traffic.
We told you there would be five ways here to get quick traffic to your website, but here is a sixth. If you have yet to start designing or developing your new website, think about the domain name you should purchase for it. There are a number of places online, from actual registrars to domain sales sources, where you can purchase a domain name that is already receiving traffic and already has backlinks that point to it. This will undoubtedly cost more than registering a name from scratch, but it also has immediate benefits tied to it.
Getting traffic to come to your website or blog is the most essential thing that any website owner needs to accomplish. Without sufficient traffic, no website will ever achieve the goals that the owner of it has set. Traffic generation is an ongoing process that can include hundreds of different strategies, many of which take a long time to both master and carry out. That doesn’t mean though that there are not steps that can be taken to begin seeing an increase in traffic almost immediately. The most important step to be taken though is to just get DELL 08K8194 Battery started now. -
How To Easily Add Your Own Video Posts To Your Blog
First post by: www.batterystores.co.uk
One of the best ways to gain readers andIBM 92P1060 Battery traffic to your blog is by using video posts. With the competition for blog readers at the level it is, only blogs that stand out and offer unique content are the ones that end up being successful. One of the most popular types of content that people often either look for or take notice of is video content. Adding video content that others have created and uploaded to the internet is fairly easy and somewhat beneficial. But what really sets a blog apart is adding your own videos to the content of your blog. To many bloggers, that sounds like a complicated process, but there is an easy way to accomplish it.
The first thing that needs to be done is that the video has to be planned out, or scripted. It is always best, whether shooting an instructional video or a scripted video with a storyline, to plan it out completely before shooting begins. After the video shoot is planned out, proceed with the filming until all of the IBM 08K8214 Battery scenes are completely filmed. Once all filming is completed, edit the film so it appears just the way you want it to.
One of the most important steps to do in the creation of a video blog post comes next. Using the video editing software that comes with most modern video cameras add a watermark of the URL of your blog to the video content. This is a great way to get your blog’s web address out in front of people.
Now that the video is complete, don’t worry about figuring out how to host the video on your own domain and how to manage how it is displayed. The easiest thing to do is to simply upload it to YouTube and then use the embed code available there to place it in a blog post on yourIBM 08K8195 Battery blog. There are a couple of benefits to doing it this way including getting your video post out in front of the eyes of millions of viewers via YouTube, and remember, your video has your URL splashed across the bottom of it because you watermarked it, right? Another benefit is that videos are quite large files and when displayed on your blog this way with YouTube hosting it, it isn’t taking up any room on your web hosting space.
Adding your own video post to your own blog isn’t that complicated at all. In fact, when you follow these steps, you not only end up with a video post of your own on your blog, but you end up with a video post that may do some great marketing and advertising of your blog all on it’s own. Video posts get a great deal of attention from blog readers, you can be included with the popular blogs that take this route too… and you can do so very IBM 08K8193 Battery easily. -
How to Make a Killer SEO Proposal

How to Make a Killer SEO Proposal
First post by: www.batterystores.ca
Being an SEO provider is IBM ThinkPad R50 Battery difficult- especially if you are just starting out. The biggest obstacle is the lack of clients themselves, without clients, you’re out of fortune and you will be out of business as well. Some SEO providers think that clients come as needy individuals who just want to get a chunk of the dot com boom. This is not true.
Let us try to reverse the picture, shall we? You have a small start-up company. You have invested in many SEO tools, you have trained people on your own, and you have physical office space (leased). You lie back in your small office, holding your pen and your phone, with your eyes on your POP3 mail. What is missing from this picture is the client.
You see, there are many SEO providers today. If in the last decade, there were few SEO providers and people IBM Laptop Batterywere not that interested yet, the dot com landscape has definitely changed all that.
Sure, there might be many possible leads. But how do you convert those leads into profit as well? The key is your SEO proposal.
Make the Best “Pitch” of Your Career
If your client would hand over thousands of dollars for your services, you better be an SEO provider that deserves thousands of dollars in fees. The sales pitch should be well-thought, but before you promise great returns and absolute domination of the online market, make sure that you explain precisely how you’re going to do it.
Clients are often worried, pessimistic, cunning and skeptical. And they should be- who Laptop Batterywouldn’t be? Hundreds of dollars are spent for an intensive PR campaign on the World Wide Web. Do not be defensive- instead, appear calm, confident and ready to answer any questions.
Professionalism
For some people, just hearing “Don’t you worry, you’ll definitely do great. You’ll be number 1 in Google in a couple of days” is not enough. You have to show that you know the whole gamut- from how search engines work and how people are actually going to make the client’s business thrive.
Never be afraid of statistics- if the statistics say that there might be a chance that something would not work, cite those statistics as well, but be ready to tell your client precisely how you are going to combat negative trends or growth rates.
Be reassuring, but never be too positive to the point of lying to the IBM ThinkPad R51 Battery client. Because remember, clients can pull out anytime and if you wave a contract, they might sue.
Metrics and the Clients’ Goals Count
In the beginning of the SEO revolution, inexperienced SEO providers promised “a thousand hits a day” to clients, and clients were happy. The belief was that it is nearly impossible that not even one from that thousand hits would not turn into a sales or a similar desired outcome. This is the point of search engine optimization.
Experienced SEO consultants know that this is a very poor measurement of how an online business will fare. Ten, twenty, thirty thousand visits a day means nothing if you’re not selling IBM FRU 08K8193 Battery anything. -
Three Important Things to Consider When Searching for a Digital Camera
First post by: www.batterystores.ca
If you are purchasing IBM Laptop Battery a digital camera for the first time or just looking for a replacement of your old camera, you are going to have a great experience if you really know what you are looking for in a camera — that it is within your budget. There are so many brands and full-featured models in the market that this shopping task could be somewhat discouraging. Read on and ask yourself the following questions so that you will be guided on choosing the right camera for you at the right price.
Who is Going to Use It/How is It Used?
The first question that you should answer relates to the would-be users of the IBM ThinkPad T41 Battery product. If it is likely that two or more people are going to use it, you need to take into account if it is user-friendly, durable, and if the battery would last long. On the other hand, it is mildly different if you are just the only person who will use it.
The second question is about using it and printing results of the images. In relation to this, you have to consider the resolution settings of your camera. If you are going to print your photos often, then high resolution is recommended for your photos to get better results.
Those two questions would be deciding factors on the accessories you might need for your camera.
Storage Capacity that I Need
The storage capacity amount that you are going to need is dependent on the number of times you take pictures and the volume of photos you will take. Some cameras only have built-in storage capacity that, in case the capacity is reached, allows you to capture more pictures only if you are done copying them to another device.
One alternative is to buy a camera in which removable media can be used. This is good way of storing more IBM ThinkPad T42 Batteryphoto files.
Modes and Lenses that I Need
Most common type of lenses available is lenses with wide angle. Most camera users prefer to have some range of zoom. If you are fond of taking pictures of small objects and you want to retain the quality of images, then you need a camera with macro mode because this allows you to take a closer look at the subject through your camera without losing the resolution and clarity of the picture.
Lastly, if the purchase price is going to be a concern, you need to set your wants as top priorities in buying the right digital camera for IBM ThinkPad T43 Battery you. -
Hardware Upgrade Solutions For Your Laptop Computer
First post by: www.batterystores.ca
A laptop computer buyer usually has one thing in mind when making a Fujitsu FPCBP63 Battery purchase - convenience. He buys a laptop computer to save desk space and for mobility – the flexibility carry it anywhere he likes and even work in Wi-Fi hotspots. Only after using it for a time does he realise that he could do with a hardware upgrade to enhance his computing experience.
A good number of laptop users, especially those who are not tech-savvy, are not sure whether an upgrade is possible or not. This quick guide will clear the air on the above matter.
Apart from upgrading to a new battery, there are two hardware components you can easily upgrade in a laptop computer.
RAM Upgrade
The first component is RAM (Random Access Memory). As you keep installing the latest powerful applications in your laptop, you may notice that your computer is underperforming. More so if there’s a need to multi-task. This calls for a RAM upgrade.
When it comes to laptop computers, upgrading RAM is by far the Fujitsu FPCBP95 Battery easiest task to undertake. All you have to do is remove a panel at the bottom of your laptop, remove your old RAM and insert a new unit. Before that you would have to check RAM compatibility before undertaking the exercise.
Upgrading Hard Disk
There is always need for larger hard disk space with many users storing multimedia files for easy playback on their computers. Replacing your hard disk is a trickier task. You have to unscrew the hard disk, remove it from the mounting bracket and replace it with a new unit. Unlike a RAM upgrade, you would want to get a qualified technician to do it for you. With options for external hard disks available, you may not want to choose an internal hard disk upgrade.
Can You Upgrade Your Laptop Processor?
Many would wish they could upgrade their laptop processors to provide IBM ThinkPad T40 Battery them with better processing speed. Can this be done? Some laptop models provide the option for a processor upgrade. Check your manual or with the manufacturer’s help desk. If such an option is available, the first thing you should do is check the cost. If the cost is close to the price of a new laptop, forgo the option.
If it’s cost-effective, you should leave the upgrade process to a qualified laptop technician, preferably with the manufacturer’s technical support team.
Use the Flexibility of Your Card Slot
The slot allows you the flexibility to upgrade to a newer modem, a firewire connection and even network ports. For newer laptops, the ExpressCard slot, for instance, allows you the flexibility to add wireless capability if you don’t have one. You can also add eSATA capability so that you can have a fast external hard disk.
USB 2.0
New hardware could easily be added to your laptop computer with these ports – anything from an external hard drive, floppy drive, keyboard and video capture device.
Although internal upgrades are limited for laptop computers, USB ports and Card Slots give users the flexibility to add new Laptop Batteryhardware to their laptop computers. -
Five Things You May Not Know About Manhattan

Five Things You May Not Know About Manhattan
First post by: www.batterystores.ca
Manhattan is one of the most populated islands Fujitsu Laptop Battery in the world, it is also one of the five boroughs that along with Queens, The Bronx, Brooklyn and Staten Island make up New York City. New York County, which is made up entirely of the borough of Manhattan, is the most populated county in the United States with a population of over 1.6 million people. Manhattan is not only the major commercial and financial center of the United States, but it is also one of the major financial centers of the entire world. The island of Manhattan has a very interesting history including its early Danish settlement before it became property of Great Britain during America’s colonial times. With Manhattan having such an important place in America’s history and future as well, a great Laptop Batterydeal of information is known about the borough. But, here are five things that you may not know about Manhattan.
1. Most people are aware that Manhattan Island is included as part of the borough of Manhattan. What many don’t know is that Manhattan is also made up of Governor’s Island, Roosevelt Island, Randall’s Island, Liberty Island (home of the Statue of Liberty), a small percentage of Ellis Island, and a small section of mainland near the Bronx known as Marble Hill.
2. New York City, and Manhattan in particular, is hard to imagine as an area that at one time had animals and an abundance of open spaces. As recent ago as 1934, sheep actually grazed in Manhattan’s Central Park. They were removed for fear that homeless residents during the Great DepressionFujitsu FPCBP80 Battery may use them as a source of food.
3. While the land above water on Liberty Island that is home to the Statue of Liberty is officially part of Manhattan and New York City as a whole, all land beneath the surface of the water is considered part of the state of New Jersey. The reason for this is that all islands in the area are property of New York, but the border between the state of New York and the state of New Jersey is the middle channel of the Hudson River.
4. From Manhattan’s beginnings as a Dutch colony, there is much evidence of reclaiming land from the sea. This has continued into modern times as Battery Park City, located in lower Manhattan, was created with more than one million cubic yards of fill dirt and rocks that were excavated as part of the process in the construction of the World Trade Center.
5. There have been nine different buildings built in Manhattan that at one time were the tallest building in the Fujitsu FPCBP77 Battery world. The first one to take the title was the 309 foot tall New York World Building which was completed in 1890, this building stood until the mid 1950s when it was demolished to make way for a new ramp connecting to the Brooklyn Bridge.
Manhattan is one of the most important places in terms of the financial future of the entire United States. The island borough has made an amazing transformation over the years from its early days as massive expanses of rural farmland to a concrete covered island with some of the world’s tallest buildings filled with the offices of some of the world’s biggest and most successful companies. A visit to Manhattan, whether for business or pleasure, is a great opportunity to see a truly diverse urban area with a number of notable buildings, sites and businesses. Manhattan is a must-see location for anyone lucky enough to pay a visit to the New York City Fujitsu FPCBP68 Battery area. -

Said to be on track for a release in the UK next month, the 9-inch touchscreen-equipped Toshiba Satellite A60-662 Battery Asus Eee PC T91 has been caught in pictures yet again, this time by UK tech site Electric Pig. Looking at what the Eee PC T91 is now, before its official release, it appears as if Asus has nearly perfected the 9-inch form factor, and considering how good the Eee PC T91 looks as both a netbook and a convertible tablet, the 10-inch Eee PC T101 is bound to be better by leaps. If you are holding off buying any more netbooks before the Eee PC T91 and T101 from Asus, then maybe the latest Eee PC T91 hands-on pictures will be enough to tide you over. See them all at the link below.
Albatron, who we previously reported on for the touchscreen Tee PC, have since been working on a netbook which NetbookNews.de have spotted and captured on photo and video. NetbookNews.de give the netbook a look over and gets the hands on experience on video which you can view after the jump. The Albatron netbook features a 10.2 inch display with 1GB of RAM, Intel Atom N270 CPU, a 6 cell battery and features an ultra thin design weighing in at under 1kg. The netbook is available oshiba Satellite A65 Series Battery with a hard drive or SSD option. No word on what size the HDD is, but the SSD version is available in 8 or 16GB. With the standard netbook specs it’s likely to come with 160GB hard drive specification. No word on price or availability has been released.
Asus is said to be planning on phasing out some Eee PCs in the UK market particularly the older 7 and 9 inch series. As Asus has just released the slim 1008HA Sea Shell in the UK, this will be followed by the release of two other newer Eee PC models - the 1005 and another yet to be named 1000 netbook series along the lines of the 1000H.
Come July, Asus hopes to have only these three Eee PC offerings to the UK market. Imagine how easy it would be for consumers to decide on which of these three 10-inch netbooks all pre-loaded with Windows XP and 160GB HD to decide which one to get, right?
Following the release of the 1008HA, Asus is set to release the new thicker 1005. The Eee PC 1005 will have a removable battery with 12-month collect-and-return warranty. The Toshiba Satellite 2100 Battery Eee PC 1005 will be available for around £350.
If you’re wondering what will happen to the Eee PC 1000HE now? Well it will be one of those to be phased out by Asus despite being one of its bestselling Eee PC to date.
Chris of Netbook Reviews tipped us that he saw a product listing of the upcoming Eee PC 1008HA at Newegg.com. The product listing showed that the Eee PC 1008HA was supposed to retail for $429 at the online retailer. Also the Newegg was supposed to start shipping the Eee PC 1008HA on May 18. This was despite the fact that no US release date has been announced by Asus yet.
Interestingly, a moment after, Chris also found out the the link has been deactivated. The product page is still up, but a note was added that says, “This product is no longer available.”
Could this be a case of miscommunication on the part of Newegg and Asus? Is Asus planning to Toshiba Laptop Battery announce a new price for the Eee PC 1008HA? We’re inclined to believe that we will all find out soon. -

released almost on a daily basis
First post by: www.batterystores.ca
A little over 2 months ago, Acer’sToshiba Satellite A75 Battery first 10-inch netbook went on sale on Amazon for $350 USD. This, of course, is the Acer Aspire One D150, which we’ve had the chance to review just recently. Over the weekend, its successor just became available in the Philippines, and I believe it’s going to be available in other markets across Asia (if it isn’t already) as well as Amazon and other online stores that sell netbooks very soon.
In the Philippines, I know of at least one local retailer that is already selling these netbooks, and I was informed that the AAO D150 would be phased out already in favor of this new 10-inch model. What makes the Acer Aspire One D250 so great? Well, for starters, it comes with an Intel Atom N280 processor, which has been proven to be generally faster (though only by a little) than the Atom N270 which has been the norm for netbooks for quite some time now. Besides which, you can consider the Aspire One D250 as just an Acer Aspire One D150 with a better processor and sleeker design. Some of the ports have been rearranged to be positioned evenly between the left and right sides, but the Toshiba Tecra 8000 Battery overall look and feel is basically the same.
The price Acer is asking for an Aspire One D250 is the same as the price of an Aspire One D150: 23,995 Pesos or about $507 USD. Right now, I’m a little wary if this model is really worth the upgrade/price increase, but I’ll be spending time with it later today to find out. I’ll let you know what happens then.
We’re pretty sure you still remember Acer’s 11.6 netbook which was then called Ultra. Well, apparently that Acer Netbook is now donning a new branding - Aspire One 751. Complete with full specs and a release date, Acer Germany’s site has all of a sudden displayed the Aspire One 751 on their website.
Let’s see what this new Acer netbook baby has to offer then. An Intel Atom Z520 processor paired with a US15WExpress Chipset, 2GB RAM, LED-backlit 200-nit WXGA display with 1366×768 resolution, Wi-Fi b/g and an optional Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, and triband UMTS/HSPA WWAN.
In addition, the Aspire One 751 would either have 3-cell and 6-cell Toshiba Tecra 8100 Battery with an estimated life of up to 8 hours. Said netbook is expected to arrive in the UK markets anytime this May. It would have a hefty price tag of around $518. As usual, no words yet as to when this will be available in the U.S.
What’s the best way to see if a gadget you’re about to buy (when it finally comes out) is best suited for your tastes? Look for a review of it online. The Acer AspireRevo is one such upcoming gadget that I’m sure a lot of people are looking forward to (myself included). Well, guess what, this little Ion-infused nettop from Acer has just been put through its paces by Engadget, and their full review of the machine is now available.
From Engadget’s review, the AspireRevo is touted as an affordable nettop that offers great graphics performance, but processing power that needs more oomph. It didn’t have problem playing Blu-ray and pumping out pure surround sound through its HDMI-out, but games don’t really perform as well as you would expect them to due to the severely Toshiba Tecra 9000 Battery weak processor. In case you’re still looking for more opinions, we’ll try to get our own review of the AspireRevo up in the next few weeks so watch out for it here.
With more and more netbooks being announced or released almost on a daily basis, it’s surprising to see some netbooks go over $400 when similar speced machines go for less. If you want to keep your netbook cheap and portable, Liliputing have put together a list of 19 netbooks which all fall under $350 and come with a 9 inch display or 10 inch. The Asus Eee PC 1000HA, Lenovo IdeaPad S10, Acer Aspire One D150 and MSI Wind U100 are all Toshiba Tecra 9100 Battery available for $349. The MSI Wind U100 is also available for $299 and comes with a 3 cell battery. The $349.99 U100 comes with a 6 cell battery and in pink. Likewise the MSI Wind U120 comes in under $350 with a price tag of $319.99 and a 6 cell battery.
The HP Mini 1000 Mi Edition is available in a 10 inch or 8.9 inch model, priced at $279.99 for the 8.9 inch and an additional $40 to upgrade to a 10 inch display. The standard HP Mini 1000 comes in at just under $300, priced at $298.97, along with the Dell Inspiron Mini 9 ($299) and the Asus Eee PC 900HA ($293.99). The upgraded 904HA is available for $15 more at $308.40 bringing with it a larger keyboard like you’d find on a 10 inch model. The Acer Aspire One with a 160GB hard drive teeters on the $300 mark with a 3 cell battery, but a 6 cell battery model will add an extra $30 to the price tag. Where as the 8GB SSD version with Linux will set you back $273.28. Interestingly, the XP model is cheaper at $239.
Other 9 inch netbooks noted in the list include the Dell Inspiron Mini 9n ($249), refurbished Eee PC 900s which sell for $180 and Toshiba Satellite 1900 Battery the Eee PC 901 ($279.99). -

Asus Eee PC for Dummies
First post by: www.batterystores.ca
You’d know when something becomes popular if it already has a “for Dummies” book up on its Toshiba Satellite A100 Battery sleeve. If you’re familiar with titles in the for Dummies book series, you’d know what I mean. And our favorite netbook just got a book of its own - the Asus Eee PC for Dummies.
The Eee PC spectrum has certainly grown into a bigger proportion since it was released last year. We’ve seen so many variations and models, we’ve seen various blogs dedicated to the Eee PC (including ours of course), we’ve read and covered Toshiba Laptop Battery news coverages, product launches, various hacks, accessories and what-have-you’s. And so now for a change how about a full-featured book dedicated to it? Not a bad idea right?
The Asus Eee PC for Dummies is your ultimate printed resource for anything and everything about the Eee PC. It was written by Joel McNamara who wrote similar book in the for Dummies series including, GPS for Dummies and Geocaching for Dummies.
Looking at the back cover of the book, it says that the book contains the following:
a quick course in using Linux
how to set up Windows on an Eee PC
a guide to all the pre-installed software
how to make Skype phone calls and listen to Laptop BatteryInternet radio
tips on backing up, restoring, and troubleshooting
testing and security advice
how to add storage and peripherals
ways to expand your Eee PC’s battery life
and many more
The book also has an accompanying web site which you can find here.
The Asus Eee for Dummies is currently available online at Amazon.com for a reduced price of $16.49.
We’ve received a complimentary copy of the book and will write a detailed review as soon as we finished reading Toshiba Satellite A70 Battery it. -

Battery safety needs scrutiny
First post by: www.batterystores.ca
The safety of rechargeableToshiba PA3506U-1BRS Battery that make today's mobile lifestyle possible - they are used to power notebook PCs, navigation equipment and cell phones, for example - needs to come under scrutiny in the wake of recent accidents.
Last week, LG Electronics said it is offering free safety checks and battery replacements for Z series notebook PCs that were sold between January and December 2007.
The move comes after two reported cases of notebook PC battery explosions. The rechargeable lithium batteries overheated. The batteries were made by LG Chemical. The move to offer free battery replacements is an attempt to allay customer anxieties over the safety of the notebook PCs and falls short of recalling the products as any safety investigation by a third party could take as long as six months.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics, which was involved in a similar incident, has no plans to offer Toshiba PA3591U-1BRS Battery comparable services.
While the companies claim that these were isolated incidents, the number of accidents involving rechargeable lithium batteries reported to the Korea Consumer Agency, a consumer advocacy group, has been on the increase.
The total number of complaints, while small at 38, has been on a steady rise - nine cases were reported in 2005, 12 in 2006 and 15 last year.
In response to growing concerns over the safety of rechargeable lithium batteries, the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards has been reviewing safety standards for lithium ion batteries since December last year. A new standard should be enforced as soon as possible.
The taskforce Toshiba Portege 4000 Battery should thoroughly investigate accidents involving such batteries to discover the causes and draw up necessary safety measures to prevent future accidents.
Manufacturers need to do a better job of alerting consumers to safety precautions. Rechargeable lithium batteries, while convenient, pose safety threats when not used properly. Using them in high-temperature environments is potentially dangerous, for example.
More than 600 million lithium ion batteries a year are manufactured in the Republic of Korea, making up for 30 percent of the global market for the batteries.
Manufacturers should not have to be reminded of the recall of 10 million Sony batteries used in notebook PCs in 2006 before the company improved its safety standards, which cost the company more than $400 million Toshiba Satellite A10 Series Battery in replacements.

PluggedIn: Apple's music player wins following
First post by: www.batterystores.ca
Two years ago, software designer Ian McFarland bought a Toshiba PA3084U-1BRS Battery Vaio Music Clip, but after finding it slow to download music and ``no fun to use,'' he returned it.
He then tried a CD MP3 player, but rejected it as too ''clunky'' and listened to music on his laptop, until one day in a store, he found the iPod.
In December, McFarland decided to buy Apple Computer Inc.'s iPod MP3 player, which he now takes with him everywhere.
Among the reasons: In contrast to the one-hour capacity of Music Clip, McFarland estimates his iPod holds up to 20 hours of music, just over 600 songs, leaving him with 1.3 Gigabytes of storage space free.
``I love having my whole record collection with me while I'm driving,'' said McFarland, who Toshiba PA3399U-1BRS Battery makes regular trips to Los Angeles from his home in San Francisco, where he works as a consultant and is writing a book about Java.
At a retail price of $399, the iPod is pricier than other MP3 players, but its 1,000-song, 5-Gigabyte capacity, convenient size and sleek interface are attracting music lovers and geeks alike.
Following Apple tradition, the industrial design of the iPod is nothing short of cool and easy to use. But it carries the same baggage that many Apple products before it have labored under -- its relatively high price tag and a technology that works only with the MacIntosh operating system, not the much more universal Windows. That threatens to keep the iPod inside the ``Apple ghetto,'' even though Apple sees it as a breakthrough product for the masses.
As ever for Apple, the design wins kudos. The white lucite and stainless steel device -- the size of a deck of cards -- stands out from the generic black-box look of most other consumer electronics.
The iPod has few buttons and no knobs. A touch Toshiba PA3395U-1BRS Battery wheel allows users to scroll quickly through the music content, which can be categorized by artist, song or album title, or user-created playlist. Information is easy to read on a backlit two-inch diagonal LCD screen.
``I love the retro touches, the Chicago font. It's got this very early Macintosh (news - web sites) feel,'' McFarland said. ``It's got few controls, but they do everything you need. And I love the feel of the little wheel.''
SMALL SIZE, LARGE STORAGE
IPod buyers are willing to pay a premium for a small form factor and large storage capacity, analysts said. There is no other digital audio MP3 player available that holds as much music and is as small as the iPod.
Flash memory-based MP3 players are small, but don't hold many songs, while other hard drive-based players tend to be much bigger.
For example, the Rio Sonicblue 800, which sells for $225 to $300, is slightly smaller but has only 128-Megabyte flash memory and holds only four hours of music. Both the Rio Sonicblue 800 and the iPod feature batteries that last 10 Toshiba PA3250U-1BRS Battery hours.
Meanwhile, the 6-Gigabyte Nomad Jukebox from Creative Technology Ltd., priced from $200 to $300, has more storage, but weighs more than twice as much as the 6.5-ounce iPod and is about four times as big, according to Stan Ng, product line manager for the iPod. The Nomad's battery lasts about four hours.
``The iPod is less expensive on a per-megabyte basis,'' said Susan Kevorkian, a research analyst at International Data Corp. in Mountain View, California. She predicted iPod prices will drop as more hard drive makers enter the growing market.
Only iPod uses Firewire technology allowing for download rates of up to 30 times the speed of other devices. Users can download 1000 songs in less than 10 minutes, while simultaneously recharging the battery, Ng said.
The iPod works with Apple's iTunes music jukebox technology, automatically transferring new songs onto the device when the iPod is connected to the computer.
Apple has skirted the piracy problem by giving the iPod only one-way transfer capability. Users can download songs to their iPod from only oneToshiba PA3356U-1BRS Battery machine and cannot transfer them from the iPod to any other device.
``Everything on here (iPod) I have a license for,'' McFarland said. ``I don't listen to anything directly off the CD anymore.''
MACINTOSH ONLY -- FOR NOW
For now, the iPod works only with computers running the Macintosh operating system, limiting its market to the 7 million people running Mac OS 9 or OS X, roughly 5 percent of the U.S. personal computer market, analysts said.
``The Mac community is backing it as their MP3 player,'' said Tim Bajarin, president of Creative Strategies in San Jose, California.
But at least one company, Mediafour Corp., is developing software that will allow iPod to work with Windows machines. Even without Windows compatibility, there's enough of a market to sustain sales.
``The iPod has been selling faster than we ever would have expected,'' said Thomas Toshiba Laptop Battery Armes, president and chief executive of Elite Computers & Software, California's largest Mac-only reseller. ``It's probably the fastest selling Apple product we've ever carried.''
Armes, whose offices are directly across the street from Apple's in Cupertino, California, said he sold out of the first shipment of 250 iPods in two weeks and has moved more than 700 since they hit the shelves Nov. 10.
In his keynote at Macworld on Monday, Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs (news - web sites) said the company has sold about 125,000 iPods.
Other unique features of the iPod are its linguistic capabiliti4es -- it can display words in Japanese, French, German, Italian and Dutch -- and the fact that it can be used as a portable hard drive to store data and transfer it to another computer, Ng said.
In addition, the iPod features 20-minute skip protection, versus the usual 10 seconds CD players have, and high-fidelity head phones for good sound quality, he added.
``It's not going to change the world -- it's just an MP3 player,'' McFarland said. ``But it's such a big evolutionary step Toshiba PA3291U-1BRS Battery that it's significant.''

Matsushita to tap local PC market
First post by: www.batterystores.ca
Japan's Matsushita Electric, one of the world's top Toshiba Laptop Battery home appliance makers, plans to sell notebook computers in China, making its first foray into the galloping, but cut-throat, local PC market.
"China's PC market has been expanding despite a worldwide slump, which has prompted us to tap into the local PC market," said Ryoji Uchida, a manager in charge of Matsushita's PC sales in China.
A factory based in Xiamen, a coastal city in East China's Fujian Province, will produce notebook computers for Matsushita, Uchida told Business Weekly.
Matsushita is the sole investor in the factory.
Matsushita Electric (China) will be responsible for sales of its notebook computers in China.
The company, best known for its National and Panasonic brands, will sell two laptop models in China.
"We are hoping Matsushita can build up a well-known Toshiba PA3191U-1BRS Battery brand in China's PC sector, following its great success in China's home appliance market," Uchida said.
He acknowledged it will not be easy for Matsushita to take market share from already well-established players.
"We are in an unfavourable position compared with top players such as Dell and Toshiba, which have large production volumes and have controlled their costs very well," he said.
"Thus, as part of our initial PC strategy in China, we will try to tap into niche markets by developing and producing what our rivals do not have."
The first two models introduced by Matsushita to the Chinese market will be the "Toughbook" series. The computers will weigh 990 grams and 1.09 kilograms.
Both will be ultra-thin, with batteries that last about five hours.
"These two models will be aimed at young Chinese business people who have high demands for mobile offices, especially Chinese women," Uchida said.
Booming, but tough market in China
Matsushita's initiative reveals how massive, and booming Laptop BatteryChina's notebook computer market is, suggest industry observers.
PC shipments last year to China reached 9.29 million units, representing an 8.7-per-cent growth year-on-year, and accounting for about 43 per cent of total shipments in Asia-Pacific, indicates data tracking company Gartner.
A slew of aggressive price cuts by manufacturers in recent years have enhanced the popularity of notebook computers in China,
Sales of notebooks in China grew nearly 40 per cent last year, Gartner said.
Beijing-based local market researcher CCW Research put the figure even higher, at 48.8 per cent.
Some 887,000 units of notebook PCs were sold in China last year, it said.
Analysts predict that growth will be maintained or increased as prices of laptops continue declining.
Notebook PCs promise much higher profit margins than desktop PCs.
Matsushita aims to sell thousands of laptops in China this year, said Hirotaka Sugizaki, supervisor of Matsushita's information Toshiba PA3166U-1BRS Battery and communication equipment sales team for China and Northeast Asia.
Next year's sales will depend on market conditions, he added.
Analysts suggest the target is a bit conservative, given the market is expanding and Matsushita's sprawling sales channels for home appliances and digital products will help it compete and stake out a larger share of the laptop market.
"The potential of China's notebook PC market is far from fully Toshiba PA3331U-1BRS Battery tapped, as laptops are becoming affordable for more Chinese consumers," a Beijing-based analyst said.
Yet, Matsushita has a tough future in the market, which is undergoing a restructuring, the analyst noted.
Although top players such as Dell, IBM, Toshiba, Sony and China's Legend maintained or gained their shares of the market last year, some minor players have been washed out of the laptop market.
Local vendors such as Great Wall, Langchao and Hisense have pulled out of the notebook business due to difficulties in gaining market share.
"It would be better for Matsushita to seek partnerships with local players, as their expertise in the PC market, combined with Matsushita's clout in the home appliance sector, would help Matsushita cement its footing in the notebook business," Toshiba PA3098U-1BRS Battery the analyst said. -
MSI Wind U123

MSI Wind U123
First post by: www.batterystores.ca
While the MSI Wind U123 looks identical to the older U120, MSI has updated this 10-inch Toshiba Laptop Battery with Intel’s newest Atom N280 processor, which provides slightly improved performance. Also, the U123 sports a new nine-cell battery, which, while making it heavier than most other netbooks, provides more than 8 hours of runtime, earning it the title of the longest-lasting netbook on the market. At $379, the MSI Wind U123 is easily one of the best netbook bargains around.
Design
The Wind U123 sports the same chassis as the U120, which is not quite Toshiba PA2487U Battery as snazzy or slim as the HP Mini 1000 or Dell Inspiron Mini 10. MSI claims that the U123’s design is for adults and business professionals, but the HP Mini 2140’s aluminum chassis seems more appropriate for that market segment. Still, the U123 is sleeker than the original U100 and forgoes its rounded edges for a squarer shape with cleaner lines. A glossy navy blue lid (also available in white, red, black, and gray) covers the outside of the netbook and is offset by a black underside and glossy screen bezel.
The Wind 123’s dimensions of 10.2 x 7.1 x 1.3 inches is standard fare for a 10-inch system, but its nine-cell Toshiba PA3107U-1BRS Battery adds a bit of girth to the back, props up the entire system about an inch, and also puts it in a higher weight class. At 3.2 pounds, this netbook weighs more than most competing netbooks (the Wind U120 was 2.8 pounds), it’s the same weight as the ASUS Eee PC 1000HE. Nevertheless, even with its AC adapter (which brings travel weight to a total of 4.0 pounds), the Wind U123 easily fit in our bag, and plenty of room was left for other gadgets.
Surrounding the Wind U123 are three USB ports and VGA, Ethernet, headphone, and microphone jacks. A 4-in-1 card reader is on the right side.
Roomy Keyboard, Subpar Mouse Buttons
The keyboard on the U123 is the same as that on the original Wind and the U120. The matte keys Toshiba PA3383U-1BRS Battery offered a good amount of springy feedback when typing, and we like that the Shift keys and Backspace key are relatively large. While the HP Mini 2140 and the Samsung N110 have slightly better keyboards, touch typists should have no problems using the Wind U123 for extended periods. The nine-cell battery props up the system, putting the keyboard at a nice angle for typing.
The 2.0 x 1.7-inch touchpad is disappointingly small. While we’re glad that MSI replaced the original single bar mouse button with silver colored right and left mouse buttons, they are quite stiff and make a distracting clicking sound when pressed. Also, the touchpad does not support multitouch gestures like those on the Eee PC 1000HE or the Samsung N110.
Display and Audio
Typical of other netbooks with 10.2-inch, LED-backlit, 1024 x 600-pixel Toshiba PA3384U-1BRS Battery displays, the U120’s screen allowed us to view Web pages without having to scroll. The matte LCD produced clear images and bright colors. When we watched an episode of 30 Rock on Hulu.com, vertical viewing angles were good, and tilting the screen to its maximum 120-degree angle didn’t cause much glare. The 0.5-inch wide, glossy black bezel that surrounds the screen looks classy but is larger than we would like and attracts fingerprints.
The MSI Wind U123’s dual speakers are located on the bottom front of the system. We could clearly hear Tina Fey’s voice from across our small apartment. Listening to Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love,” the speakers were loud but lacked bass.
Webcam with Facial Recognition Software
Above the display is a 1.3-megapixel webcam that displayed clear images when videoconferencing with a family member over Skype. Waving a hand resulted in a bit of motion blur, but the caller didn’t complain about lighting or clarity.
Paired with the webcam, MSI’s EasyFace Manager software enables facial recognition so users can log in with their face Toshiba PA3285U-1BRS Battery srather than a password. After registering our mug with the system, the Wind U123 recognized us in less than 10 seconds -
Lithium-ion laptop battery , in 2009 achieve a leap

Lithium-ion rechargeable battery the advantages of easy to say that is the Sony VGP-BPS10 battery weight, volume of only nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) rechargeable batteries dell battery , Latitude D620 battery , Latitude D820 battery can achieve about half of the same performance. Battery performance in general to unit weight of energy and power to express, lithium-ion rechargeable battery unit weight of the energy density (the density in particular related to the EV travel distance) and power density (related to the HEV of the ease of charging and discharging) are nickel Hydrogen 2 times.
Sanyo Electric said that the development of batteries for the Audi, and its power density and energy density Sony PCG-R505 battery of nickel-metal hydride has reached 2.3 times. Same, AESC’s batteries have reached about 2 times, from the point of view of volume, it is estimated to reach about 2.3 times.
R & D in the current HEV, EV, PHEV three electric vehicles, the recognized are the closest practical level of HEV. System has been used in nickel-hydrogen recedent to Prius as an example the use of the HP battery capacity is only about 1.3kWh.
On the other hand, EV and PHEV prototype car has also finally debut. EV at the field, the real production car will be iMiEV and Plugin Stella Concept of production constitutes the performance target. At this point even if the capacity are light vehicles of iMiEV, also required Prius 12.3 times 16kWh.
Mitsubishi iMiEV At bottom, under a number of configurations. Capacity of 16kWh, voltage of 3.7V, with a Sony PCG-V505 battery capacity of 88 units 50Ah battery.
EV Energy all drivers want to rely on batteries, and therefore more stringent requirements of the Apple battery . Compared with the HEV battery status is usually (SOC) of 50% as the center, the scope of work of the at its upper and lower 10%, EV’s use of greatly expanding the scope of the need.

PHEV can be equipped with more than HEV batteries Apple A1078 , Apple A1008 , Apple A1079 , to extend the driving distance between the requirements for the HEV batteries with batteries and battery between EV. Nissan EV from the development Sony PCG-Z505 battery experience, EV driving power required by the vehicle weight of 1.7t at level 150 ~ 250Wh/km. If you are 1.3kWh the Prius, use about 20% of the SOC, the farthest we can only travel less than 2km.
And the PHEV Prius prototype vehicles through the nickel-metal hydride rechargeable IBM battery and in parallel double the size of obtained 2.6kWh capacity, will be extending the use of the SOC to 20 ~ 80%, so that battery-powered driving distance reach 13km. If its replaced by lithium-ion rechargeable batteries IBM ThinkPad T43 , IBM ThinkPad T41 , IBM ThinkPad T40P , Ni-MH rechargeable only half the weight, you can achieve the same performance PHEV.

The EV is just the opposite. Although 100Wh/kg required more than high energy density, but not so high power laptop battery density requirements. The PHEV performance target is between the range of HEV and EV. To Toshiba’s PHEV as an example, the company’s goal is to achieve power density 1300W/kg, the energy density of 120Wh/kg. -

Down with 3-Cell Batteries
First post by: www.batterystores.ca
count AC adapters. When I walk into a Starbucks the first thing I check out is not the blend of the day, but the number (and the brand) of the laptops being used by the fellow java chuggers, along with if they are plugged into the limited wall Sony laptop battery sockets.
Waiting for a friend to meet me at a local Starbucks last week I took notice of the two netbooks—an ASUS Eee PC 1000HE and an HP Mini 1000 – in the shop. The ASUS Eee PC 1000HE’s owner drank her Frappuccino without an AC adapter awkwardly hanging from the table. The 1000HE, which is outfitted with a high capacity six-cell battery, got over 7 hours of battery life on our Web surfing battery test. The lady with the HP Mini 1000 (with a 3-cell battery) however, had a power cord laptop battery stretched across the table and connected to the wall (I suspect that her coffee had turned cold by the time the table next to that socket freed up). That netbook, while more compact than most on the market, gets only 2.5 hours on a charge.
There are a handful of netbooks, including the ASUS Eee PC 1000HE and the Samsung N110, that don’t have to be accompanied by their power cords for a day trip, because their standard six-cell batteries provide over five hours of battery life on a single charge. And it is that type of netbook that should be standard in this crowded market. But it isn’t.
Many netbook manufacturers, including Dell, HP, and Lenovo, seem reluctant to ship devices with extended batteries, saddling users with 3-cell systems that last just over two hours. Currently, Dell only offers its Mini 9 and 10 with a 4-cell battery. HP does offer an upgrade to a 6-cell for Sony VGP-BPS5 battery $79, but most models come standard with a 3-cell battery.
The reasoning behind this? The reigning theory is that it has to do with price, but manufacturers also seem to think that people don’t want to use undersized netbooks with 10-inch screens and cramped keyboards for more than a few hours at a time, so what does it matter, anyway?
But that is just not the case. Even if you won’t use a netbook for more than two hours at a time, one of the best use cases for netbooks involves pulling it out of your bag to shoot off an e-mail or surf the Web for an hour and simply tossing it back in your bag when you are done. It is anywhere, anytime computing, and that “where” often includes places where there are outlets.
A few months ago, we asked LAPTOP readers in an online poll how much Sony VGP-BPS8 battery power was enough for a netbook. The overwhelming answer was 5 to 8 hours.
Some of the largest notebook vendors are crippling their netbooks by bundling them with 3-cell batteries. Are they doing this on purpose to prevent cannibalization and make their larger laptops look good? Consumers want longer battery life. If the cheaper netbook doesn’t provide adequate run-time for, let’s say, a plane ride from New York to California, they will inevitably pick one of the longer running mainstream laptops in the company’s line up. On the other hand, they might just choose a vendor like ASUS, Acer, or Samsung, all of whom offer solid 6-cell systems.
Highly mobile laptops should run for at least five hours, and all netbooks should come standard with six-cell Sony VGP-BPS9 battery. Not only will end users be happier, but I won’t have to count as many AC adapters.
